Born and raised in Helsinki, Elli is the oldest of four siblings and the only daughter of Miria and Jarvi Aalto. Having a volatile childhood and a strenuous relationship with her mother, she left home at 16. Shortly before leaving, her then boyfriend broke up with her in favor of pursuing a music career and leaving Finland. This loss more than the persistent verbal and emotional abuse from her mother caused her to want to leave. She traveled throughout Europe and parts of North and South America, holding odd jobs to support herself and dabbling in photography for the next six years.
Elli has a bubbly, playful personality and enjoys messing with people and making them laugh. She has a dark, sarcastic sense of humor and a love for things that are poetically tragic. She is closed off about her past with abuse and mental illness and denies the impact it has had on her life. Venus Doom: Single Mom Verse
After returning to Helsinki and reconnecting with her oldest brother, Elli moves back permanently and heavily pursues band photography
Through her work, she rekindles her relationship with her high school sweetheart and they have a child together named Venus. Unfortunately, the relationship doesn't last and Elli takes Venus full time while her father tours with his band. Elli leaves Helsinki with her daughter to establish herself in California, taking Venus on jobs with her.
